I have been receiving writing advice from Ann since 2017. Sure, I can string a sentence together inside a decent narrative on a good day, but beyond that, prior to meeting her—I was clueless. Becoming a published author was at the top of my bucket list for almost forty years. When I began working with Ann, that dream finally came true.

Whether you need help understanding the publishing industry, developing your book, or writing a proposal that won’t end up in slush pile purgatory, Ann is the BEST one-stop-shopping resource around. She will lovingly remind you to use fewer words while tightening your overall narrative, and you will come away a better writer than you could have ever imagined.

I had a powerful idea, three-quarters of the first draft of a manuscript and no clue how to navigate the writing world. I knew if there was any hope of bringing this book, or other writing I hoped to do in the future, to the world, I needed a guide. Ann and I set an appointment for a 15-minute discovery call which turned into much longer as she became impassioned with my idea and generously poured out writing advice.

We met monthly by phone or in person. Those conversations were GOLD!  She innately asked all the right questions. She directed me to what I needed to do next and presented writing concepts I hadn’t even heard of before. Through our meetings, she prepared me for every publishing hurdle.

One month at a time. One coaching call at a time. One assignment. One edited chapter. I would never be where I am without Ann’s guidance.

As a freelance writer, I wholeheartedly endorse book coach  Ann Byle as the person who can help you make your best pitch. Recently, Ann used her experience in the book industry and keen eye to sharpen my query letter, synopsis, and sample chapters for a novel. Her recommendations resulted in greater focus, tighter prose, and needed transitions in my manuscript and supporting pages.

My only regret is that I did not contact Ann before I started pitching my novel. However, I look forward to this next round, because Ann Byle gave me one other thing: hope.
